姫神小桜石

1300年前の日本の話。
征夷大将軍の坂上田村麻呂が東日本に進軍します。
その時に、岩手県にある姫神山に立烏帽子神女を祀りました。
坂上田村麻呂は伝説の日本刀「鬼切丸」を持っていたことで有名です。
田村麻呂は鬼切丸で立烏帽子神女と戦い、その後、田村麻呂を守護する姫神となりました。
また岩手県最大の岩手山と姫神山は夫婦だったとの神話があります。
姫神小桜石はその姫神山全体を構成する花崗岩です。
盛岡駅前の新渡戸稲造の銅像も姫神小桜石でできています。
新渡戸稲造は日本の思想家であり、世界で広く読まれている「武士道」の著者です。

Sakanoue no Tamuramaro is famous for having the legendary Japanese sword "Ogre Slayer". Tamuramaro fought against Tate Eboshi no Mikoto with Ogre Slayer, and after that, she became Himekami, who protected Tamuramaro. There is also a myth that Mount Iwate, the largest mountain in Iwate Prefecture, and Mount Himekami were a married couple. Himekami Kosakura Stone is the granite that makes up the entire Mount Himekami. The bronze statue of Nitobe Inazo in front of Morioka Station is also made of Himekami Kosakura Stone. Nitobe Inazo was a Japanese philosopher and the author of "Bushido", a book that is widely read around the world.
