諏訪鉄平

長野県の諏訪・佐久地方で採掘される2500万年前の地中の浅い部分のマグマ活動によって生まれた輝石安山岩です。
2〜3cmの板状に剥がれる性質をもっており(板状節理)江戸時代には屋根瓦の代わりに使用されていました。
瓦よりも丈夫なので、積雪の深い地域ではとても重宝されています。
諏訪市は中世に武将の諏訪氏が治めていたことから地名がつけられた場所で、諏訪湖など自然が美しく「東洋のスイス」と呼ばれる場所です。

This is the pyroxene andesite rock created by magma activity in a shallow part of the ground,
25 million years ago, which is mined in the Suwa and Saku regions of Nagano Prefecture.
Since it has the property to come unstuck into a plate shape of 2 to 3 cm it was used in place of roof tiles in the Edo period.
Because it is stronger than tiles, it is very useful and loved in areas with deep snow.
Suwa City is a place where the warlord Suwa was cured in the Middle Age (Kamakura and Muromachi periods) so the city name was given because of Suwa Warlord.
This place is called "Swiss of the Orient" thanks to the beautiful landscape, such as Lake Suwa.
