アラハント

「福を呼び、光を招く」石。
約1600万年前の海底火山噴出物(火山灰など)が海底に堆積し、長い年月をかけて岩石となった凝灰岩。
室町時代から採掘がおこなわれ、室温湿度、吸音、吸臭効果があるとされています。
水に濡れても使っても滑らないことから「学業」の石、「芸人」の石と呼ばれています。
世界遺産、石見銀山の五百羅漢像と同じ石で、大変ありがたい石として珍重されています。

A stone that "brings good fortune and invites light." Tuff formed when undersea volcanic ejecta (volcanic ash, etc.) from 16 million years ago accumulated on the seafloor and turned into rock over a long period of time. It was mined since the Muromachi period, it is said to have humidity of room temperature, sound absorption, and odor absorption properties. It is known as the "study stone" and the "comedian stone" because it is non-slip even when wet or used. It is the same stone as the 500 Arhat statues at Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine, a World Heritage Site, and is highly valued as a blessed stone.
