古事記に記述が残される、天孫降臨神話でも重要な地”宮崎県”。
延岡市の西、高千穂ではその伝説が根強く残っています。
天孫降臨とは、天照大御神の孫、ニニギノミコトが、8人の神と3種の神器を携え地上に降りたといわれています。
ニニギノミコトは初代天皇神武天皇の曾祖父にあたります。
天照大神がお隠れになられた天岩戸伝説も、この宮崎県といわれています。
水晶は万能なパワーストーンだといわれております。
災いや魔を払い、危険から守ってくれる「邪気払いの石」「幸運を招く石」として世界中で愛されてきました。
ダイヤモンドと同じく4月の誕生石でもあります。

Miyazaki Prefecture is an important location in the myth of Tenson korin, which is recorded in the Kojiki. This legend remains deeply rooted in Takachiho, west of Nobeoka City. It is said that Ninigi-no-Mikoto, the grandson of Amaterasu Omikami, descended to earth with eight gods and three sacred treasures. Ninigi-no-Mikoto was the great-grandfather of the first emperor, Emperor Jimmu. The legend of the Ama-no-Iwato cave, where Amaterasu Omikami hid herself, is also said to have taken place in Miyazaki Prefecture. Quartz is said to be an all-purpose power stone. It has been loved all over the world as a "stone that wards off evil spirits" and a "stone that brings good luck" that wards off disasters and evil and protects from danger.
Like diamond, it is also the birthstone for April.
