仁淀川は“日本一の清流"といわれ"仁淀ブルー”と呼ばれるほど川が美しく透明度が高いことが知られています。
この地域で採取できる赤石は、インテリアや庭石として広く使われます。
四国ではアークナイトやソロモナイト、水晶などさまざまな色味が見られる地域ですが、一部の場所で五色の色が見られる場所は淡路島の五色浜など一部の地域でしか見ることができない銘石です。
五色が岩となったものを五色さざれ石と呼びます。
現在はいずれも採掘が法律上禁止されており、採取することはできません。

Japan stones from the Niyodo River in Kochi Prefecture. The Niyodo River is known as the "clearest river in Japan" and is known for its beautiful transparency so much so that it is called "Niyodo Blue." The red stones that can be collected in this area are widely used as interior and garden stones. In Shikoku, various colors of stone can be seen, such as Arknite, Solomonite, and quartz, but there are only some places where you can see five colors stone, such as Goshikihama on Awaji Island. When the five colors stone become conglomerate, they are called Goshiki Sazareishi. Currently, mining of both is prohibited by law, and they cannot be collected.
