八郷雲龍石

八郷雲龍石は、茨城県石岡市(旧八郷町)加波山より産出される花崗岩の一種です。
700以上の礼拝地のあるこの鉱山には神が宿るといわれています。
八郷雲龍石はその山の一部として神聖な石とされています。
迎賓館、日本銀行、東京商工会議所、司法省の建材に使われています。
神龍が舞う水墨画の雲のような模様からこの名前が名付けられました。

YASATO UNRYU Stone is mined in Mount Kaba, Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The mountain, with more than 700 places of worship, is said to be inhabited by deities. As a part of this mountain, YASATO UNRYU Stone is said to be a sacred stone. It is used as the building material for the State Guest House, the Bank of Japan, the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and industry and the Ministry of Justice. The stone was named YASATO UNRYU Stone because the pattern of this stone looks like the cloud in ink painting which have dragon.
