神代楓 【パワーズウッド】

神代楓

楓は「槭、槭樹、楓、鶏冠木、蛙手」とも書くムクロジ科カエデ属で落葉高木の総称。
名前の由来は、葉の形がカエルの手「蝦手」に似ていることから、呼び方を略してカエデとなりました。
神代楓は本来の楓の雰囲気を比較的残したまま茶褐色になり、芯材と辺材の色味の差がさほど見られません。
神代としてあまり多く見つかることがない貴重な木です。

Maple is a general term for deciduous tall trees in the Sapindaceae family, also written as “Japanese oak, Japanese maple tree, maple, cockscomb tree, and frog’s hand.’’
The name comes from the shape of the leaves, which resembles a frog’s hand.
The name was shortened to Kaede.
Jindai maple has become brownish while retaining the original maple atmosphere, there is not much difference in color between the core and sapwood.
It is a valuable tree that is rarely found in the Jindai wood.
