太陽木

中国の雲南省南部、広西チワン族自治区、広東省に分布しており、インド、ミャンマー、タイ、ラオス、ベトナムにも分布していて、日本ではグネモンノキとも呼ばれます。
薬として使用され、放血を消散して止血し、痰を解消し、喉を和らげる効果があるとされ漢方にも使われています。
強健でしなりが強くブドウのような種子が房状に茂るので、果実観賞用とされますが自生では太く大きく育ちます。
枝を輪切りにしたときにでる、水墨画で書いた太陽のような模様が特徴的。

It is distributed in southern Yunnan Province, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Guangdong Province in China, and is also distributed in India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, and is also called Gunemon tree in Japan.
It is used as a medicine and is said to have the effect of dissipating and stopping blood stagnation, clearing phlegm, and relieving coughs, and is also used in Chinese medicine.
It is strong and pliable, and its grape-like seeds grow in clusters, so it is used for fruit appreciation, but grows thick and large in the wild.
Its distinctive feature is the sun-like pattern drawn in ink painting that appears when the branches are cut into rings.
