When you peel the skin of the fruit of the Baitaraju tree, the shiny ivory fruit like this comes out.As it is used, it changes to a candy brown color, which is reminiscent of the roots of a linden tree, hence the name ``bodhi root.''It is said that the lifespan of a tree is 60 to 70 years, but ``Bodhi root'' only bears fruit once at the very end of its life.
When the leaves of the Kaitara tree are dried and scratched, they turn blackish-brown, and this was used to copy ghost texts.
The essential oil extracted from the leaves is said to have bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and sedative effects, and is used in medicine and aromatherapy.
It is a plant with a lot of vitality, and it has been considered a symbol of rebirth since ancient times because even if the lower part of the tree is scorched in a forest fire, it does not suffer any damage and grows robustly.
