This is lava rock from Mount Yakeyama, where Tamagawa Onsen is located.
It has a high emissivity of far infrared rays and also emits radiation and negative ions.
Beitou stone, a natural monument, is mined at Tamagawa Onsen, and the core of this Beitou stone is Tamagawa Yakeyama stone.
It is difficult to even obtain Beitou stone from Tamagawa Onsen, and although Tamagawa Yakiyama stone is still in circulation, it is expected that the availability of both stones will decrease.
