This mountain, where Shaka Nyorai is said to reside, is now a national park, and as a general rule, it is prohibited to take out the raw stones.
However, it flows from this mountain and is produced in rivers within Mie Prefecture.
Like Bad Gastein ore, it is one of the medicinal stones that contains a lot of radium and produces radon.
It is said to have such a high level of radiation that it is called the strongest granite.
Furthermore, in 2014, a new mineral called magnesia rolandite was discovered in this stone, making its mineral value very attractive.
Ise Shrine, where Amaterasu Omikami is enshrined, is about 100 kilometers south of this production area.

Mount Shaka is one of the seven sacred mountains in Japan. This mountain which is said that Gautama Buddha had lived in here, become a national park and it is prohibited to bring the raw stones out. However, ISE stones flow from Mount Shaka and it is produced from the rivers in Mie Prefecture.
ISE Stone is also called the strongest granite because of it high amount of radiation. Also in 2014, a new mineral called magnesium yttrium roland stone was found in ISE stone. Therefore the value of ISE stone as a mineral is also very attractive.
