A stone from Iyo Province, home to a female pirate named Tsuruhime of the Murakami Navy.
It is a metamorphic rock formed when basalt rock is subjected to high temperatures and pressures, and its constituent minerals include garnet and small amounts of phlogopite.
In Ehime Prefecture, a stone that normally only exists below the surface of the earth is found near the top of a mountain, and the cause of this is still a mystery, making it a truly romantic stone.
It is said that the blood of Princess Tsuruhime became garnet, and it is said to give courage and strength to face adversity.
