The power of wood Eternal youth, courage, ambition

This fine wood has been cultivated in the northwestern part of Kyoto City since the Muromachi period, about 600 years ago.
The product is called "Kitayama Logs," and the beauty of the polished log wood gives it a unique appeal.
It is characterized by logs that are straight and without knots.
It was designated as the prefectural tree of Kyoto in 1966.
It has also been used in famous buildings such as Rokuon-ji Temple (Kinkaku-ji Temple), and is mentioned in Kawabata Yasunari's "The Ancient Capital."
