Lhasa is the capital of Tibet and is located on the northern bank of the Lhasa River, in a valley in the Himalayas.
In Tibetan, Lhasa means "La" = gods or Buddhas, and "Sa" = land, that is, "land of the gods."
It is located at an altitude of 4,200m, and the Potala Palace, which was the residence of the Dalai Lama, is an additional 117m above sea level.
Of course, the excavation is done by hand, and the stones are characterized by strong points where various inclusions and elestial structures can be seen, as well as rainbows and, occasionally, water spots.
Tibetan crystals, which are specially regarded as a ``holy land,'' can truly be said to be crystals in which gods reside.
